our story

visitable's day one
VisitAble began with a personal story. Joe, our Founder, grew up watching how people often misunderstood or unintentionally mistreated his dad, who uses a wheelchair. Access for his dad often seemed like an afterthought, meaning he couldn’t fully experience outings, events, or opportunities with the rest of the family.
The idea to do something about it all started with a class project in college. Joe began listening, really listening, to people with all types of disabilities across the country. He asked what true access meant to them, and how they wanted to be treated in everyday life.
our growth
As we connected with organizations across industries, one theme became clear: meaningful change starts with people. A shift in mindset. A change of heart. That’s why we chose to focus on disability inclusion training and awareness. It’s the foundation for lasting impact.
That understanding became the heart of VisitAble. Today, we help businesses go above and beyond to build real connection and respect. We lead with first-hand experiences, constantly engage the disabled community, and are always learning so we can bring the most current, practical knowledge to every training and conversation.
